The first movie based on the popular anime and manga series, “Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow” was released in theaters in Japan on August 21, 2004 and in the United States on June 4, 2007. In the Japanese version of the film, a ten-minute opening sequence was included with showed Naruto’s inability to use the bathroom while taking part in a sports event. This sequence is notable because almost every character from the series, including the dead ones, made an appearance in it.

Written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa and directed by Tensai Okamura, the story of film takes places after the 101st episode and revolves around the villain Doto Kazahana’s plot to take the treasure hidden by his brother Sosetsu (whom he had murdered) from his niece Koyuki Kazahana, a princess from the island called the Land of Snow. Naruto and ninjas of Team 7 fight to save the princess and restore her to her father’s throne.
